Equity Funds

ICT investments are typically controlled equity investments in lower middle market companies representing the add-on products or services upstream (or downstream) in the industry value chain.

Our partners are highly experienced operating managers and entrepreneurs willing to be constructive and helpful to the management teams running the companies in our portfolio. Our investments are concentrated in the Southeastern U.S. in order to facilitate a healthy interaction between portfolio company managers and ICT’s partners.

ICT is highly focused on working closely with industry executives. ICT’s principals maintain active working relationships with outside executives who are able to provide a wealth of industry expertise to our portfolio companies. We look for firms that have an opportunity to deploy capital on an efficient basis to significantly alter their growth trajectory and create value for the founders, managers, and owners of the businesses.

Candidates for investment should have good management teams in place, established sales, and serve large and growing markets. There are no industry restrictions with the exclusion of real estate, distribution, franchisees, and mineral exploration projects.

Private Equity Growth Program

The ICT portfolio is a composite of companies in which we have controlling interests as well as developing companies. We provide significant managerial assistance to the companies in which we invest and believe that providing managerial assistance to such investee companies is critical to their business development activities.

Typically when ICT steps in, the company does not have the right infrastructure and internal culture to operate as a goal driven company with fully integrated ERP system and a complete set of SOP (standard operating procedures). The ICT approach is very collaborative with the portfolio company’s management team often resulting in significant changes at all levels of the company – starting with executive management.  In addition to capital, we provide our portfolio companies with various services to ensure success:

  • Active board representation
  • Transitional leadership and executive recruiting
  • Experienced advice through the Advisory Board
  • Corporate finance strategy and modeling
  • Treasury functions
  • Acquisition sourcing, advisory, due diligence and negotiation
  • Performance measurement and reporting
  • Value chain approach market analyses and corporate infrastructure development
  • Industry expertise and relationships
  • Key personnel recruiting and evaluation
  • Supply chain program development
